What Happened?
A Written Assignment to Use the Past Tense
* Write a letter to a person – a friend, your grand-father/mother, your mum, your dad, your cousin, your teacher or someone else.
* Tell them about something that happened yesterday, last week or last month.
* Use as many verbs as possible from the list. Remember to write in the past tense!
* Use your imagination! Be creative! It doesn’t have to be true!
* Follow the instructions for writing a letter!
Time: 70 minutes = 1 lesson+ 10 min
Lesson one – 7C Monday/7B Wednesday w. 7 - prepare the assignment:
1. Fill in all the verb forms you know. Hand in to your teacher.
2. Make a mind-map of what happened.
3. Look up words you don’t know and that you need in your letter.
4. Make sure you know how to write a letter!
Lesson two – 7C Friday/7B Friday (=Swedish lesson)/7C Friday w. 7:
1. Look att your mind-map.
2. Start writing the letter by hand!
3. No use of dictionaries this time. Use your mind-map!
